The protocol of heaven is very different than the protocol of men. I sat with a precious friend who travels the world into unreached and hard to get in places! She is truly Kingdom special ops. As we spent several hours just sharing hearts about God’s love for the world and His Bride, it became apparent we were speaking the same language. We were both very tired of watching systems that “processed” people through the gyrations of “ministry training.” We knew that many wonderful men and women had been raised up that way, but what we wanted was family, sons & daughters, not interns & staff...
The Lord spoke to me "ordain the donkeys and the fools!" Release those who had no desire for their own reputations, but will carry the Glory regardless of what others thought of them. The ministry of the donkey is remarkable in the Bible. When someone of prominence hits the mark of failure, we often in self-righteous anger feel it our duty to devalue all that was done through their lives feeling like we were "duped"...but the stories should be enough for us to realize that many have been used who were less than perfect - and on many occasions were deceived and intentional. Paul wrote,"some preach to discourage me" but God moves, even though men walk in error.
How can we sustain the freshness, the simplicity of His Presence, His Power and His Love! How can we begin “building a ‘prototype’ church – something that has never been done before – without a model – without a place to look other than God.” God indicated that the prototype was far more than simply something that hadn’t been done before, it was in fact the early rendering of something yet to come! It was a new wineskin … a process ever evolving in direct obedience and submission to the Holy Spirit. It was a place I had longed for throughout my Christian walk. It was a place of extreme awkwardness, extreme dependence, and utter abandonment to His Purposes where Jesus really did “lead” the church...
In 1990, I had a profound visitation with Jesus where the Word read the Word to me. He picked up my Bible and read the following passage: "He who is holy, who is true, who has the key of David... ‘Danny, the Key of David is that which breaks protocol and acceptability to let God be God’ it’s the House of Freedom. David methodically and radically removed hindrances of access to God! It is breaking the protocol that prevents some from entering His Presence. It is breaking traditions of men in order to pave a highway for people to run to Him.’ It’s what Jesus did when He confronted the Pharisees...
In the upcoming days, there will be increased signs, notable miracles, and profound revelation… but we must always remember…. It is “This Gospel” that will be preached to the ends of the earth…. The Gospel where hearts are turned to fall in love with Jesus … the Gospel that was given to a young Slovakian woman at the Resort where we held our conference and who fell in Love with Jesus! It is this Gospel… the Gospel of gas stations, Wal-Mart’s, grocery stores, sidewalks, schools, and places of business… the one that makes hearts realize… “He is what I have been missing in Life… I want Him!”
“Danny, did you see all the signs in that meeting?” The question was rather a unique one, after all He was the One that put them there and the One who pointed them out to my dull mind. It was the next thing that threw me. “Signs are meant to be out in the world, not simply to be the focal point of conferences… Signs are simply road posts… they are what I said they were signs… pointers!” Sometimes the larger signs are simply those intended to capture our attention to move in a direction because something is about to happen!
Years ago I learned a valuable lesson. I believed and practiced that Scripture that says, “Love covers a multitude of sins!” (1 Peter 4:8) There were those in my life who continued in their behavior that was sinful, but I felt it necessary to “cover their sins, because love covers!” What I learned was that Love does cover “confessed sin!” But sin that is unconfessed, God wants to expose so that restoration can happen. My “covering” people’s sin was enabling their behavior to continue in sin. It’s not religious to tell people to stop sinning! If we fail to speak truth, we lead people into error...
It is apparent that titles often mean much to men, but very little to God. Titles don't give authority, God does. King Saul may have had the title of King, but David had the heart of a King even when he didn't have the title. It is His authority and anointing on our lives that reveals a function we release in the Body of Christ, not a title. Titles can produce an unhealthy platform to men and women whereby their failures become apparent to all. The more profound the title, the greater possibility of supreme failure! God obligates Himself to remove those whom we place on pedestals...
I watched him stumble. I watched the church quickly jump into action. "Accountability!" they cried, and then set up a system of hoops, hurdles and hoolas for the servant to perform. Whether or not the hoops, hurdles and hoolas were doing anything directly to bring about restoration was inconsequential. The fact that something was being done, was sufficient to keep the servant out of the limelight long enough to prevent them from being associated with the church that embraced him. The word "restoration" has been thrown around the church for many years...
